Electric units come in 4 different systems; standard, deep water, remote manifold, and XL systems. Standard systems work for most ponds in the 8-12' depth. Deep water systems use a larger compressor and are good in water up to 35 feet deep. XL systems use a 3/4 HP compressor and larger tubing and can aerator ponds up to 40 feet deep. Remote manifold systems are great for units that need the compressor mounted close to the power source but far from the pond. The remote manifold system saves money on extra tubing and saves money from running power all the way to the pond. Units can be mounted up to 1 mile away from the pond.
