Solar aerators are a great option for when electric power is not available due to remote access ponds, to save money on running electrical power to the compressor, or when you want an alternative solution for electrical aeration systems. Solar powered aeration systems are meant to run 24/7 even when there is a lot of cloud coverage. Solar panels are very durable and able to withstand harsh conditions. Multiple solar panels can be stacked together for larger systems and longer run times. Solar aerators come in 3 options; shallow water, deep water, and solar with battery backup.
Shallow water units are great in ponds less than 12 feet in depth and 200 feet of total airline per compressor. Deep water systems are great for any pond depth even in shallow ponds all the way up to lakes. Solar units with battery backup is great for times when there is extended cloud coverage or in places where there is limited sunlight during the day.
